Annual Meeting of the Standing Committee SCECBU in Poland
On 19-21 May 2004 the Annual Meeting of the Standing Committee of European Central Bank Unions (SCECBU) is taking place in Ruciane Nida. The participants are representatives of trade unions from central banks throughout Europe.
Amongst others Frans Vanderschelde, the Honorary President of SCECBU, Gerald Grisse, Administrative Director of the European Central Bank and representatives of the National Bank of Poland have arrived to Ruciane Nida. During the meeting, union representatives are discussing the current human resources, social and organisational situation in central banks. They are also establishing the policy of the SCECBU activities for the next year.
The Standing Committee of European Central Bank Unions was established in 1964 at the initiative of central bank employees in France, Italy and Germany. The aim of its activity is the provision of assistance to employees of central banks and the sharing of experience between union members. Currently, the representatives of 43 European states are taking part in the work of the Committee. Annual meetings of the Standing Committee are organised once a year in different countries. Last year it was held in Lisbon.
