Press release from the meeting of the Monetary Policy Council held on 18-19 January 2011

On 18-19 January 2011 the Monetary Policy Council held a meeting.

The Monetary Policy Council decided to increase the NBP interest rates by 0.25 percentage points:

  • reference rate to 3.75% on an annual basis;
  • lombard rate to 5.25% on an annual basis;
  • deposit rate to 2.25% on an annual basis;
  • rediscount rate to 4.00% on an annual basis;

The resolution of the MPC comes into force as of 20 January 2011.
