About the NBP: Structure

The Personnel Department performs tasks related to personnel matters, staff compensation, employment, training and staff welfare of the NBP, carrying out the policy in this area and supervising its application at organizational units of the NBP Head Office and other organizational units of the NBP.
The Department's activity is focused on four areas.
The first area involves all issues related to the personnel, beginning with the recruitment and selection of staff, then dealing with the administration of matters resulting from the staff's contractual employment, the compensation, performance review and recognition, application of sanctions for violations of staff regulations, and finally, matters connected with the termination of employment at the NBP. This area also includes tasks related to the analysis and evaluation of the staffing situation of the NBP and measures in the area of ensuring that the qualifications of the NBP staff correspond with the Bank's projected tasks.
The second area includes matters that result from the implementation of the compensation and employment policies and are related to the development of principles and regulations governing staff compensation, performance bonuses and discretionary bonuses. This area also includes matters related to planning the staffing levels and wage fund for the NBP, analyzing the compensation levels and the staffing structure in the context of the Bank's responsibilities.
The third area relates to a broad range of training activity performed by the NBP that is focused on analyzing, assessing and determining needs in the area of training at home and abroad, and cooperating with organizational units of the NBP Head Office in programming, planning and organizing training events.
The Department actively cooperates with university colleges and other scientific centers in Poland, central banks and training institutions from other countries, as well as schools and centers of professional education and advancement for the employees of the banking sector.
The fourth area includes issues related to staff welfare activities at the NBP, especially developing the overall lines of welfare policy, conducting joint welfare activities for eligible persons at the Head Office and the Support Services Office, coordinating the activities related to the staff health care and running the NBP Health Clinic in Warsaw.
