At the meeting on January 10, 2002 the Commission for Banking Supervision approved the appointment of:
  • Fryderyk Radziej to the position of the Management Board Chairman of Bank Spoldzielczy in Tarnowskie Gory,
  • Olga Jakubowska to the position of the Management Board Chairperson of Bank Spoldzielczy in Narew,
  • Henryk Zydek to the position of the Management Board Chairman of Bank Spoldzielczy Ziemi Leczyckiej in Leczyca,
  • Leokadia Danuta Tolwinska to the position of the Management Board Chairperson of Bank Spoldzielczy in Malbork,
  • Tadeusz Peza to the position of the Management Board Chairman of Bank Spoldzielczy in Sokoly,
  • Elzbieta Wegrzyn to the position of the Management Board Chairperson of Bank Spoldzielczy in Lopuszno,
  • Stanislaw Osinski to the position of the Management Board Chairman of Bank Spoldzielczy in Rutka Tartak,
  • Aleksander Kaczynski to the position of the Management Board Chairman of Bank Spoldzielczy in Piatnica,
  • Elzbieta Zamozna to the position of the Management Board Chairperson of Bank Spoldzielczy in Zytno,
  • Maria Helena Mscichowska to the position of the Management Board Chairperson of Bank Spoldzielczy in Wasewo,
  • Alina Laskowska to the position of the Management Board Chairperson of Bank Spoldzielczy in Stopnica,
  • Leslaw Wojtas to the position of the Management Board Chairman of Podkarpacki Bank Spoldzielczy in Sanok,
  • Grazyna Dudzicz to the position of the Management Board member of CUPRUM-BANK S.A. with a seat in Lubin.
The Commission for Banking Supervision discontinued the proceedings on the application by SAS PONANT 1 with a seat in Paris to issue permission to SAS PONANT 1 with a seat in Paris to acquire the shares of Bank Inicjatyw Spoleczno-Ekonomicznych S.A. with a seat in Warsaw, which authorize the holder to over 50% voting rights, not more than 66% voting rights, at the General Shareholders' Meeting of the Bank.

The Commission for Banking Supervision has issued permission to Nordea Bank Sweden AB (publ) with a seat in Stockholm to exercise over 75% voting rights, together with voting rights already held, at the General Shareholders' Meeting of Nordea Bank Polska S.A. with a seat in Gdynia.

The Commission for Banking Supervision has adopted a resolution on a list of documents attached to the applications for authorization to establish a bank, for the approval of the appointment of a bank's management board members and to the information on management board composition presented by a bank's supervisory board.

The Commission for Banking Supervision analyzed the information on selected banks under recovery programs.

Due to the resignation submitted by Andrzej Topinski who performed the function of a custodian of PKO BP S.A., the Commission for Banking Supervision appointed Kazimierz Malecki to this position as of January 10, 2002.

The Commission for Banking Supervision discussed the guidelines of the project of the act on electronic payment instruments.

The Commission for Banking Supervision analyzed the information on the exchange of information with the General Inspector of Financial Information.

The Commission for Banking Supervision adopted its plan of activities for 2002.
