Information on the NBP regular open seminars
In relation to the recent publication of the “Euro-Intelligence” bulletin, the Press Office of Narodowy Bank Polski would like to inform that Narodowy Bank Polski (henceforth NBP) organizes regular open seminars devoted to the important problems of the economic policy, especially global and domestic monetary policy.
The speakers and related materials/seminar proceedings present various points of views, which sometimes do not represent the views of the NBP or NBP policy. The views of the NBP are presented in documents signed by official bodies of the NBP.
All seminar materials do have adequate disclaimers explaining the difference between the view of the NBP and that of the authors.
The seminar by Stefan Kawalec and Ernest Pytlarczyk, Polish economists which do not work for the NBP nor represent the views of the NBP, entitled „Controlled Dismantlement of the Eurozone: A Proposal for a New European Monetary System and a New Role for the European Central Bank” took place on June, 28 2013, in line with the practice of providing possibilities to present different points of view at NBP’s seminars. We would like to underline, that on June 21 2013 Joshua Aizenman from the University of California at Santa Cruz; National Bureau of Economic Research, conducted the seminar titled “Reflections on the euro crisis: prioritizing the road ahead” and on June 14 2013 Simeon Djankov from Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University conducted the seminar titled "Saving the Euro”.
