Responsibilities of Regional Branches
- Performing analyses and forecasts of cash circulation and planning and providing banking units with domestic currency.
- Servicing bank accounts of state budget and state earmarked funds.
- Selling collector’s coins.
- Participating in refinancing of domestic banks.
- Receiving the applications for an entry to foreign exchange market operations register.
- Performing examinations stipulated in the Foreign Exchange Act and in the Act on Preventing the Use in Financial Trading of Assets Derived from Illegal or Undisclosed Sources and on Preventing Terrorism Financing.
- Developing reports used for the balance of payments of the state and for the international investment position.
- Making analyses and evaluations of a general economic and financial situation on the territory covered by the regional branch activities.
In mazowieckie voivodship, the Regional Branch in Warsaw also provides services to the securities issued by the State Treasury and by NBP, operates the main current account of central government and contribution accounts of the Social Insurance Institution Headquarters, the Bank Guarantee Fund and the National Association of Cooperative Savings and Credit Unions.
